An end of summer, "ON MY WAY"

  Yeah, once again another summer ends, sadly autumn already kicked in. How did it past so fast? 

  Right, let the time follow its natural rhythm. Even in my novel, time was always an issue for my characters, as each month past I come with new acquisitions.

  The graphite version came to an end

     As of late May 2023, I sold my first storyboard. However it was the point when I decided to cease working on the original version of "ON MY WAY" I developed since 2021. At the moment the 23th episode (fig.1) will be the last of that version. It was a necessity, my main focus is storyboarding as a possible career, but I think I saw enough for the graphite version.

  However, I gave up on the digital editing process I used for the "ON MY WAY" before - now the text will be written already on the dialog boxes (now I regret I did not do this earlier). I tried to find another alternatives like editing on smartphone (fig.2), though proved futile.

  In mid summer when I edited an "ON MY WAY" episode, I realised how much detail is wasted along this process, furthermore a lot of hidden background by the speech bubbles. Each detail I feature in "ON MY WAY" need meticulous work and I got upset when unexpectedly some crucial details got hidden, the text was needed and I couldn't imagine other alternative. Also, the resolution gradually decrease with each digital touch.

  Obviously, I can always add digital writing to the pages, especially when I want to convert the text to other languages, probably when the novel will get a considerable amount of readers. 

   The new version 

  There was a bunch of "new versions" I made for the novel, especially to promote my comic style and get noticed (fig.3). The graphite version already brought me a commission last year.

  The version I'm working now (fig 5 and 6) will resemble the graphite version in episode style and length, storyboards were planned for the previous version, but they got a fresh touch. I'm going to re-use the already done storyboards, since the overall story keeps the same coordinates. Once done the episode needs only to be scanned and posted. 

  Now depends on my mood and available time to redevelop the novel with the new style, but I got already a finished episode.

  Yeah, I kept working on the novel an entire year. This also keeps me away from the actual madness that occurs not only within the hometown, but internationally. I heard rumors of pandemic returning and that 2020ish vibe (really??) and I'm already distressed by what happened in the recent months. I don't know, things will unveil themselves anyway, but another time of resistance will come by... 🤔💡
