The meaning of my novel "ON MY WAY"
BLOG WRITTEN ON CHRISTMAS DAY
Can't believe it's Christmas! Merry Christmas everyone! I wish you a peaceful holiday. ππ‘
Like every year, I celebrate Christmas at home - since the madness with pandemic intruded in our lives, I haven't been really anywhere than family flat in the city and our country side home.
Right now, I'm returning to work on an episode of the novel storyboarded in June a.c when I was away from the home and I storyboarded an episode at the hotel.
Incredible but... Drawing in the middle of the Christmas night. I could be somewhere else since the things returned to a sort of normal (now for how much time?), but I feel I rather stay home since my social life is screwed and however, it's not in my way to be out on streets during late night. It's not long, but right away after Christmas I must return to country side for more chores....π§
I literally never had the required time for my series. When I started it in November 2021 it was supposed to be only one four pages episode that turned to be my now long term series.
It's been a year since the first episode was released, the series received little attention and suffered several changes only because I get bored rapidly during process of certain details and being done for personal purposes - I literally can make minor changes that doesn't affect the natural pace of the story.
One major change was that I converted the novel from an action SF novel to a memoir one as it's based mostly on my memories and the feelings I had had when I storyboarded the first "ON MY WAY" episode are long gone. The novel brought a project in June a.c that became literally my early debut in children books illustrations. During summer I worked slightly on the novel, but I've been more focused on the debut project and other thirty party activities and time past fast.
The last two years influenced heavily my comics ...
I officially never had a favourite comic type, I only liked to express myself and my vision of certain developments via drawing. It's enigmatic how I truly got interested in comics, what I remember in 2010 I bought a magazine that contained a comic that caught my attention.
Since my early comics and present day self was a looot of transformations and plenty of developments that created memories and influence of certain personal work was obvious. A decade ago people were crazed by the H1N1 epidemic and financial recession (yes, you might realise why I drew my comics in blue ball point pen - fig.3) and sadly I find myself in the same circumstances , but now in my early adulthood.

I always tried to make my characters act like in a normal society. Personally I never had a good real social life, bullying was common in school and I had few people to relate. However, I could develop some sort of friendship in (all) of my comics based on selected memories when I felt great when I spoke to somebody.
These characters went a long term development and it started back in December 2017. Originally planned to work on a commercial comic, I realised it's a difficult step, so... I cloned the magic characters of the respective novel and rebadged as "ON MY WAY". More to come! Enjoy! π€π‘
