Rough sketches for my personal novel "ON MY WAY"

   Rough sketches are a must sometimes in the development of almost all art related things. Some early demos, a sketch done on hurry during a boring train travel (or when you are at a pilgrimage at toilet😂)... For my novel "ON MY WAY" most of the base ideas came right when I was in school, but at the time I didn't have the necessary time or the skill. A good comic require time and patience and you can't do something qualitative on the run.

  A rough sketch I've done on 13/5/2022 (Fig.1) of my secondary characters Keith and Gloria dressed in their casual traffic cop suit. This one I'll probably release as a finished asset for my novel, but done in watercolour (that yellowish green along the gray reflective elements on police jackets make them look very stately).

Some roughs I did yesterday on the run (Fig.2). The characters are in their summer suits I'm gonna use probably in the incoming episodes (at the moment I got only episodes that features the characters in their regular clothing, including the police suits for Keith and Gloria). Keith has a tattoo on his left upper arm.

Today on 25/5/2022 I got another storyboarded idea for "ON MY WAY" (Fig.3). Still needs to be completed prior I develop it further in a final episode. Since I was at a railway station (that one of Iași), it was right on time because I featured trains in this episode still in storyboard state and I had live reference of trains in front of me (almost the whole action in this particular episode it's related to a travel by train). It's nice to draw outside, most of my storyboards were done indoors and my eyes were obviously tired after a winter that seemed endless. I needed also some contact with real people because ... I used to be a loner in school, then the pandemic came in and sometimes when I'm thinking at Keith and Gloria, I fill a hole I used to have in my mind.

   I can't believe I have the mood to draw in public on my comic. I'm very secretive with most of the development process of it, including the early storyboards which I'm not going to release (at the moment). They contain a scribbled main idea of early episode, in fact a mess of dialogues and panels, but also vital information for incoming episodes I might need.

   I've done already a full folder of roughs for this novel. There are at least 14 episodes already storyboarded ready to finish, but meanwhile I try to establish a structure of the whole story (several storyboards might not get in a final episode, but I can combine certain pages of different storyboards into a final episode).
