A more personal novel, "ON MY WAY"

In November 2021 I was hit by an idea of an action novel, featuring a dystopian world controlled by some creatures I called "giants" (because they weight very much and their height exceed 2 metres). The novel's main character is myself, the story being told from first person perspective (since some people considered me "self centered", although most of the time I speak about botany and trees). The overall story is based on some previous work, some developments I've been through and my vision for an action movie that is based on my actual insecurities of present times.

Since I became a train commuter, I used to spot a lot of abandoned railway stations from the train. I decided to include one in a more unusual episode that will come soon.

After I finished the first episode, I decided to include two more characters, Keith and Gloria. Both of them act as (traffic) cops. In this episode Keith accompany my character Alex on his travel by train, as both of them have businesses in the same town.

I really like to draw on my travels sometimes, it's nice to enjoy every moment drawing, especially on my comic - listening to some music, it helps and I avoid the boredom and the discussions of other passengers in the train that tend to be repetitive after all the ongoing events around the world.

    Each episode have its storyboard (an early sketching of the eisode action prior final version).These comics are done on A4 paper, each page being A5 (the comic it's more of a "demo" version due to the small amount of time I have - furthermore, I don't feel at the moment to invest more than this in this comic, the most precious resource involved it's time).

   I drew comics since an early age, at the moment I use it as a way to suppress my feelings attached to the main idea of the novel, a 25 year-old guy living in a world kept under control by creatures called "giants" and humans are basically main target of these giants. Giants are basically the idea of "danger" that roams everywhere and follow you without noticing, an "unseen" danger I felt since the recent virus advent in early 2020 and I had no silence ever since.

   Yesterday I finished the eighth episode of the novel. Soon I let you know why all of the episodes are only four pages, but I think it's already obvious, lack of time. 

   In the last picture (Fig.6) Keith and Alex let know Gloria via video call they are alright after they missed two stations and arrived at a secluded town. One of my main readers would give me a proper feedback about the meaning of the episode. 

   Final word, I'll release the fifth finished episode on this blog, each individual blog will start with a disclaimer and few words about the main idea. That's my story of "ON MY WAY". Enjoy! 😀💡
